Doing Things

Claudia Heinle, Caroline Chevat, Johanne Staiquly

A ritual dance & music performance inspired by Ancient Egypt.

Every day we are doing things and not much time is left for life itself. People in Ancient Egypt also had busy schedules and doing things had top priority. For men and women in Ancient Egypt, doing things meant communicating with their goddesses and gods in magic rituals by drumming, singing and dancing. They considered keeping in touch with their creative forces to be essential for maintaining order both in this world and the next.
